Kent Jordan Rides Again!

Kent Jordan made the debut of his new Muellerized/RRE EVO at Buttonwillow Raceway Park this past weekend, taking his first SCCA win. This car was made entirely at the Muellerized/Road Race Chassis shop, where all of the mechanical, suspension, MR roof install, chassis and safety equipment fabrication and paint work took place. This entire project was completed in 28 days from starting the project until its first test session at Buttonwillow, where the car ran in the 1 minute 55s right off of the trailer with no adjustments. After some minor tuning, Kent took his first win running a best lap of 1:54.51 leading from flag to flag and the car ran trouble free every lap of every session. Thanks to my hard working staff and the continued support of Mike Welch of RRE, our racing program is back on track for 2005, next stop Laguna Seca April 2nd and 3rd for the San Francisco Region SCCA season opener.

John,

Just got off the phone with you moments ago.

Where did you get the MR aluminum roof and how did bond it to the chassis?

How much does KJ's car weigh?

Look forward to working with you.

We obtained the roof from Norco Mitsubishi. It fastens with rivets and metal epoxy. We have not weighed this car yet, the last one we built weighed 3130, and this one will be heavier, due to some changes I made because of the severity of Kent's wreck last January.

The original set of JICs I sold Kent last April. Over 6500 track miles and still turning fast times. We will announce our other suspension options soon, and continue to utilize our Motec ADL Data Aquisition System to develop suspension solutions that work. Kent's new suspension is being constructed now, we hope to debut it in April.

I believe the wheels are a 57s, 40 offset 17 x 8.5. Usually they are in stock at RRE.

wow, you were able to squeeze 275 tire on the 8.5" rim? I thought 255s are the most 8.5" would take.
Those are 57S though, I have them on my car.
