How much do you speed?
Before I bought my Evo I had an S2000 for over a year. I sped every where I went, didn't really pay attention to speed limits, and did whatever I felt was some what appropriate, I was never pulled over once that entire time.
I bought my Evo less than a week ago and have been pulled over twice, and had another close call. I dont think this is just some freak coincidence...

i've been pulled over 3 times for stupid things... (expired registration on my turbo integ = a loooong ticket waiting to happen, limo tint, stuff like that...) but never for speeding (or any other moving violation).
its a good thing to know the areas where the police like to run speed traps, when shift changes are and the places that are patrolled more heavily. when im driving under normal circumstances i usually keep it within 5 mph of the speed limit, but for me top speed isn't what makes driving fun, its acceleration (in all directions). going from 0-45 relatively quickly is much more fun to me than driving 55 in a 35. (you can get pulled over for accelerating too fast though too so dont try to race a black & white to the speed limit on the next freeway onramp)
import cars that look fast definitely get more attention from the long arm of the law, so try to keep as low a profile as you can. cops see a car that looks modded (and a stock evo definitely looks modded to someone not involved in the scene) and feel that they can get you for not only speeding, but also illegal engine modifications and they feel like they are doing a service to the community by making street racers think twice (read: ego boost).
by the way, when you got pulled over, were you blatantly speeding or just moving with the flow of traffic in the fast lane?

:knocks on wood: Haven't been pulled over yet and have had the evo almost a year.
Then again, I don't speed that much except on the highways when I stay with traffic. I usually just go 5mph over and be fine with that. I am also a 23yr old male so my insurance is already high enough without any speeding tickets, so that into consideration too.

I would like to invoke my 5th amendment rights on the grounds that answering this question could incriminate me in unlawful activity and result in the revocation of my drivers license and the impoundment of my automobile.

not everyday but occasionaly my car will see the brighter side of 5th gear. fastest ive ever gone so far is 140. i still cant believe how comfortable it is cruising in a evolution going at triple didget speeds.

Im beginning to think its just because the Evo is that much faster than an S, like any Honda you have to rev the **** out of it to get anywhere, which I didn't do daily driving.

I was waiting for a response like that, coming from Honda-tech.com I am used to immature responses.
Never been pulled over in the evo. Dont really seem to draw that much attention from the cops. Ive driven around a lot of them recently. They dont even give me a look or anything. In my mustang I had before, I would have cops follow me and stuff for miles, even if I wasnt doing anything. My evo is stock though, and my stang was pretty loud. I think that has a lot to so with it.
With the evo though, I usually just go with traffic. The first couple months i had it, I was acutally BELOW the speed limit a lot...it was like I was scared of the power or something...haha. Or maybe I just knew what the car was capable of and didnt need to prove anything....just having the car was satisfying in itself.
