Stupid Dealership story

I was at the local ford/nissan dealership today. I was thinking about trading in my SUV and finding something nice for my wife, just browsing really. This dealer comes out and is all gawking at my evo, so....being the trash talker I am, I said "yeah, it will door everything on this lot" hoping to get him going about the new mustangs or something.

He starts telling me about his 790hp mustang that runs a 400 shot of nitrous (is that possible? I've never heard of anything that high). He says it runs 9's blah blah.

The funny part is when he starts telling me that the 350z would stay with me, and how it goes 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. Man I was laughing my *** off. I told him straight up "That 350z isn't running 4.1 seconds man, they are fast, but not even remotely that fast".

I come home, do some searches....the 03 (was all I could find info for) 350z runs 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. I was telling him there..."I think some of the lamborghini's run 0-60 in 4.1, but that Z car sure as hell isn't"

I'll admit, I was trash talking, but man, why do dealers insist about talking about things they know nothing about?

I HIGHLY doubt this guy had the mustang that he claimed as well...

when i bought my car, it shows how much they know about their product, the guy went to fill my gas tank up and he wanted to put 87 octane in. i was like yea right and switched it to 93. also they gave me a lancer manual instead of the evo manual in the glove box. i swear salesmen are some dumbasses.

5.7 seconds 0 - 60 mph in a 350Z is about right. For sure no lower than 5.4.

I never heard of a 400 nitrous shot either. That guy was talking out of his azz, trying to sell you a Mustang GT that can't keep up with a 350Z, much less an EVO.

All car salesmen are lying morons.

I actually had a good deal buying my evo.. the guy didn't know a whole lot about the car but he was honest and got me all the reading material I needed to make my decision

He flat out said.. "I know you probably know more about this car than I do.. here are the keys take a look"

Some of them will do anything to sell, once i had my evo serviced and I was looking at the MR, and the salesperson told me about the fins (vortex generator) and that the wheels are larger than the ones on the GSR.

How do you door another car? Also I find it funny that, you were bold enough to say that without even knowing the capabilities of the cars from Nissan at that moment .....

in defense not all salesmen are dumbasses. Some are honest to a degree. The one that sold me my MR told me straight up he knew nothing about the car. And he really doesnt need to bother knowing anything because the car sells itself. He said that most ppl who buy an EVO would know more then the avg salesmen cause its really catered to a certain enthusiast market.
