Tommorow is the big day

Custom tune at Turbotrix, I don't know those guys at all, so I don't know who will be doing the tuning. I'm very excited.

The tune is going to be 450 bucks, my wife has set a limit on the amount that I can spend to 1500 total. What could 1 grand get me that would make my power numbers climb? My current mods are in my sig.

Cams are about 600 for a set...gears another 300 if lucky.....head studs go for around 120 maybe if you buy all those parts from them they might hook you up with a little discount since you are droppin that much dough, but yea If I had all the mods you do, those would be the next mods I would do. If you dyno the car post up some numbers and show us how well you do, good luck

Which cams are the more streetable ones? I want something that's still going to idle like stock =p

What kind of performance gains are people getting out of cams?

$450 Tune/Dyno
$650 Cams
$120 (guess) head studs
-----------------------------------
1220

How much do you think would be a good deal on installation? I'm really not sure if I want to dump this much money yet....

You don't need the gears, but def. get some GSC 272 cams $500 so then you've got some extra cash for another mod.

they should be able to do a package price on install. call and ask.
they do cams installs VERY fast.
and as stated before,
you do not need cam gears because mine are set to 0,0 anyway(stock setup)

I agree with everybody, get cams. The thing no one else mentioned, is that you should be putting the cams in BEFORE your custom tune. Unless I'm reading wrong, you are going for a custom tune and then planning on putting cams in later? IMHO that is a complete waste of money on the custom tune.

As far as pricing, the following links are good places to check. If you are having them do the custom tune, tell them you are interested in cams. They will more than likely work out a deal with ya... but check these out just in case:

NoLimitMotorsport:
$660 shipped for any HKS Cam set + ARP headstuds

I thought someone else was running a special for the cams + installation.. like AMS or someone, but I cant find their thread... It was something close to 1000-1200 for cams + gears + installed.

I agree with everyone else def get cams. Do the cams before the tune. Mark is a pretty cool dude and they install cams FAST. There was a video on here of a SRT4 vs EVO before and after 272 cam install w/ turbotrix tune. If not check out turbotrix's website and look under the video section. Good Luck.
