DO NOT... DO NOT use UPS. They are horrible. I used to work at the one in Memphis TN & let me tell you. Things get thrown around, stepped on, beat up, dropped, etc...... If you do decide to ship UPS. One word. Tape, And lots of it. You'll have to tape that **** like it's going to war

Did you seriously consider a trucking company (like Yellow Roadway) that is used to dealing with large, heavy objects? I wouldn't want the guys at UPS throwing my stuff around.

I agree UPS will do things to your stuff you can't even imagine. I grew up about 2 miles away from a UPS and the majority of the people I went to school with work or have worked there and the stories I have heard are crazy!

I ship large body parts, sheet metal and things like that with FEDEX Freight. That is the trucking side of FEDEX. They are fairly reasonable and they are faster than any other truck lines. By the way, last year I shipped over 20K with them and no problems. Ups would be considered oversize and that means you pay the rate of a 70 lb package if the package actually weighs 30 lbs.
