You better hope you don't have to wait 8 months longer.
The Porsche Boxter date was pushed back many times
before it finally arrived. That's life, you are not going to change an industry by *****ing here! If you find it theraputic, go ahead
and ***** I guess.

The MTV generation has no appreciation for patience.
I WANT IT NOW! WA! WA! WA!

Part of the "confusion" may be the difference between ship date and arrival date. I put a deposit down on an EVO VIII in early December and was told to expect the car mid-March.

I checked with my dealer (car) yesterday and he stated that they expect 3 cars to be SHIPPED late February and allowing 3 weeks for the cars to get here (southeast Pennsylvania) from the left coast to expect the car mid-March.

Which is the time frame I was told 2 months ago.......

Speedlimit,

Cool.. I'm on the list at kelly mitsubishi Apex Silver with sunroof (for msrp). They are offering customers who have purchased new cars from them in the past first grabs at EVO's (there allocation is 15) . I'm told after that they will be doing a blind auction for the rest.

haha .... dealership was shocked as hell when I would not take a yellow without a sunroof .... too fast & furious for me

Cladius,
I live in western MI, by Grand Rapids, and i am getting my EVO from there. They said Feb14th, and have not yet told me another date. I think your dealer is telling you a lie, or your just at the end of the line in getting one. When did you put your deposit down? If you can't wait come get one up here, they are getting one in every color (supposidly) by the latest, end of the month. I am sure you can find it there. Fox Mitsubishi, Grand Rapids, ask for Chris Sneed!

Every car going to Michigan (just like everywhere else) currently has a projected ship date of 3/03... but that date will probably change again so like I said before, everyone just chill.

Just to remind everyone, yes I work at a Mitsubishi dealership and unlike most of the folks you are dealing with to buy your cars I check for updates on the status of the car EVERY DAY, not every couple of weeks.

So Mark, any idea why this delay is taking place? Problems with the existing cars or latest spec changes?

Iono for me, I hate waiting because like a lot of people. Patience is not a virtue that was given to me at birth. Never will be. I keep calling places over and over knowing I will get the same response, but I can't keep myself from doing it so it doesn't matter. On the other hand, this is my second car I will be purchasing at my lifetime and most people think young guys can't do it , but I already paid off my lancer at the age of 19 and figured I can do better now, since I proved it to myself. I don't mind them pushing the date back that just means a bigger down payment on my side. As long as I put the money in savings before I spend it.. ^_^... I rather have 200 a month payments than 400...

btw.. if you are familiar, that most companies have issues with dates.. if anyone is into the video game industry should be familiar with, *cough* run like hell*cough*certain online games (shadowbane)*Cough*... obviously a second thought, is thier must be a reason why its taking thier time, from production to a an error in the car. i rahter them fix it now than have to recall it when ihave it....i hate giving up my toys....

Thier is a white one going to Thousand Oaks Mitsubishi in first allocation. Cept for they are putting a cute 10K package of accessory BS, that would cost aftermarket 2-3K....

Thousand Oaks Mitsubishi.

They are also allocating a blue.

This is just like anything else in your life that you can learn to control. If you say it cannot be done, that would NOT be because IT is impossible. It would be because YOU think it is impossible! Think about it!
