Evo/Colt Platform

I have read before that starting with next years evolution, the US evo will be an US manufactured car. Just wondering what you guys think the chances of them moving the evo platform here and strongly introducing the colt platform as the next step in japan. Prolly won't happen due to the overwhelming demand for the evo, or am I being ignorant and the colt is already a big platform over there? Just food for thought...

Kind of a piggy back on your post, but what's the deal with this Colt platform? I've seen some references to it in various posts, but haven't heard the deal yet...

To answer you part about a U.S. built EVo. This will not happen before the next redesign for the Lancer, salted for 2005. After that date, it is possible that the EVO might be U.S. built for the U.S. market (along with a Dodge clone).
