I recently picked up a set of taillights from a member on the boards here in the Private For Sale forum. When they arrived, the lights were in mint condition. My question is in regards to:

Do Mitsu tails, MR and VII's, come with the new mounting plugs come complete with a set of lightbulbs? I had previously bought a set of VII's from Japanparts, and they came with both. I sold them in favor of MR's, and they came with them as well. This set I just picked up didn't come with either, and I'm wondering if its just my imagination, or did everyone else's come with them as well?

I asked the seller, who has been very responsive and helpful, who actually forwarded a note to the vendor who replied "everything swaps over." I already know they swap, but I'm just trying to verify if :

If you could post if yours came with a) plugs, b) bulbs and from c) what vendor?

I bought my Evo 7 Tails from Gruppe-S(GREAT customer service and fast shipping btw )
and when I opened them they came with nothing...not those pieces that make the studs stay in the body or bulbs
I had to transfer everything from my stockers

 

I'm pretty sure you use the same stuff from your current tails. I have 7 tails, but I never saw them off the car.

 

i got my Vii tails off of a member which came with everything. I just really had to plug them in and that was it.

 

My MR's came with them - Gruppe-S

 

my mr's from Japanparts.com. Came with the housing and the wire harness only. No bulbs and they didn't have the (2) plastic clips for the body studs.

 

I just bought a set of VII tails from Gruppe-S a month ago. They told me that the tails used to come with bulbs and the plastic clips, but not anymore. As we all know, Mitsu has been in financial troubles. My guess is that they now do not include them to cut back on costs.

 

got my MR tails from lancershop about 2 weeks ago. came with everything.
And I thought I'd be the only person in Delaware with them. O well

 

the mounting studs are usually included....on occassion they are missing

same with bulb sockets...sometimes they are in there, sometimes they are not, but they transfer directly from the stock lights as well

My 7's came with everything, just plug and play!!!!

 

when i bought mine i had to transfer the plugs and bulbs from my stock ones to my new ones. i got mine from evomoto.com when they were still open.

 

I have bought both MR and VII taillights and they both came with everything exept the bulbs

 

mine came with both plugs/harness but i'm guessing that you can interchange both the VII and VIII's. the only thing i needed to swap was the 2 little plastic nipple covers.
