Brembos fading on me, anyone else get this in the chicagoland area?

i put the 5zigens on for spring/summer and noticed my passenger front caliper has a faded mark. i remember seeing people with this problem and mitsu replaced them. do they have to replace them or can they blame you for it? i figered that my exhaust or intake cant fade the paint on the brakes so would i have any problem going to any mitsu dealer or should i look out for some? im not sweating it to much but if i can get them replaced i will.

-Steve

any information will be a big help

I'll let you know after I wash my car, this weekend looks like a possibility. They definitely look faded now but that's prob the brake dust.

it really depends on the dealer. My dealer here in Austin, Tx doesn't seem to want to help with anything, but I've heard that's not always the case... My calipers are faded as well...just check with your dealer and see what they have to say...then report back..

Are you kidding? Cause as far as I know the red paint doesnt affect the performance of the brakes. But I could be wrong

Amen! There are people out there trying to get new engines and you're trying to get faded color brakes replaced. When I read the header I thought you were saying fading brakes=not working. Good luck though...

I can see the frustation in paying $30k for a car, and have the calipers fade on you. You could probably find a dealer to replace them, but wouldn't it be more of a hassle then it's worth? I guess it wouldn't if you really want your calipers that classic Brembo red, fresh and new.

But like AUSS1E said, It doesn't affect the performance of the brakes...

I think this is more of a showoff issue; you want the world to know you have Brembo's

Mine started developing faded spots as well. Though it does bug me a little I don' think I'll be trying to get the dealer to fix it. If it bugs me enough I'll paint them myself.
