ChevronTexaco to purchase Unocal
ChevronTexaco to purchase Unocal
I hope this isn't a repost...
So apparently ChevronTexaco is purchasing Unocal for 16.x billion dollars. For some reason I thought that Unocal 76 was already purchased by ConocoPhillips a while back. hmm...
So anyways, lets hope that this will improve the quality of Chevron and Texaco's gasoline and not bring down 76 gas! My hope is that Chevron will utilize 76's ProPower copyright in all its gasolines to make things better instead of shoving Techron into 76 gas and making it bad...
Here's to hoping

the point of this thread is for those who don't read business news
Unocal Corporation (Unocal) operates as the parent entity of Union Oil Company of California (Union Oil). Virtually all of the Company's operations are conducted by Union Oil and its subsidiaries. The Company is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, with principal operations in North America and Asia. Unocal is also a producer of geothermal energy and a provider of electrical power in Asia. Other activities include ownership in proprietary and common carrier pipelines, natural gas storage facilities and the marketing of hydrocarbon commodities.
Btw.......ChevronTexaco and ConocoPhillips is ONE single company
NYSE: COP
