Question Turbo Timer and Warrenty

Hey guys posted last week, about my used Evo I just bought and that the there was some grinding between 4th and 5th gear. I made an appointment with Mitsu so have them check it out. Hope they dont make it worse. I have a turbo timer, u guys think i should shut it off and hide/ un-plug it. The only other stuff i got is a boost guage and a clutch. Your thoughts...

they may blame the clutch...
they wont blame the boost guage or turbo timer... it has nothing to do with the tranny

Clutch, from what I've heard from others that have taken theres in DOES NOT void the warrenty. Since it is something that wears over time like tires. It will have to be replaced eventually.

I had my service advisor tell me it would be a good idea to get a turbo timer as it wouldn’t effect the warranty and it would prolong turbo life.
