Stalling Issue

When backing up really fast and then hard braking after, my car seems to be stalling out. When I back up slowly it doesn't stall. Any idea? I have K&N filter and G-Reddy bov in it right now.

It is the BOV. Put the stock one back in, it should not stall then. The Evo pretty much requires a re-circulating Blow off valve when on the stock ECU/tune.

+ 1

Replace the stock diverter valve (BOV) and test again.

Uh are you guys installing the BOV properly? I run the GReddy Type-S and its perfect, no stalling, no issues at all. I did the single spring mod and recirculated it and there are zero issues.

yeah, push the clutch in...lol, you're probably doing it so fast, you don't realize you're releasing it too fast....

if your BOV doesn't cause stall anyother time...then it prob isn't the bov problem.

Ya know, i had that exact same thing happen when i was doing donuts and drifting in the snow along with power breaking. I would throw it into nuetral and the car would stall. I did this three times.

But on the up and up i am never going to ebrake and why the hell do you care about backing up fast? Are you hitting boost?

its BOV definetely. Are u venting? I know what ur talking about, its the same as when u go forward in 1st and let off into neutral, ur RPMs will bounce really low or the engine will even turn off dpeending on BOV (im currently on my 7th bov). Basically, if u gas it and let off into neutral at low RPMs, ur car will die or wanna die. Its BOV issue, i even tried holding the clutch in, makes no difference, its all BOV related unless ur running stock, then i dont know

Yeah i'm venting it. Yeah that's what I've been trying to tell. I tried demonstrating it for my bro and it only wanted to stall, but never stall. About 2 months ago I tried to bust a u turn, but it wasn't successfully done. When I back up my car really fast it stalled on me. But that time it shoot out the Check Engine Light. After reseting the ECU it was fine. So now today, I put in reverse in a parking lot. The darn thing die on me after the hard brake/clutch in. So i'mma try to put the stock BOV in and see how it goes. Thanx all for the help.
