Evolution Motor Swaps

my brother has a pretty sharp chevy beretta and he's thinking about dropping a 4g63 evo motor into it. anyone ever do any sick swaps like this? this car is worth the time and effort cause it's pretty pimp looking.

I think Dave Buschur has put a 4G63 in an old 30's vehicle. I'm sure it can be done to the Beretta.

Why?

Tell him just to get an old 1G AWD DSM like a 1990, it will be FAR cheaper then the swap

umiami80 is right. Get ahold of a six bolt 1g motor. You take a chance of crankwalk with later seven bolts. Plenty of parts available and easy to tune.
Anything can be done with the right amount of funds.

You can do anything if you got the money.

You can do anything with money (or money and skills). Is it worth it? If you ask me, hell no! First off, your choosing a motor which isn't really that special. If you had the chance to get a 7.2L AMG engine and the money to do it, I'd say do it. What you're doing, though, is swapping a motor which you can get by buying a 1G DSM for like 3k.

Hey, Dave Buschur put a 4G63 in an old school hotrod pickup... anyone wants to call him and idiot for it go right ahead.... everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how retarded it is.

As the people not being jerks pointed out, anything is possible with time and money. If the motor is going to be rebuilt anyway use a 1G DSM motor, uless you can find a low miles example I wouldn't use one without a rebuild though.

Thread locked due to haters.
