I dont even know what this is if anyone knows could you let me know. as the title reads my delaer voided my warranty b/c of it.
just to be clear its the gold thing with the black plastic two pronged thing coming out of it with nothing connected to those prongs. they are circular and hollow almost like they should have a vaccum line connected to both of them. the other end connects to my maf by way of an electrical plug as you can kind of see in the second pic

Isn't that related to the electronic boost control? Wild guess...

That is the boost solenoid. Why are the hoses disconnected?

Its looks like your boost solinoid (sp?),

a hose should be going to your wastegate and a hose should be going to your intake

are you running a boost controller? Cause if you are then mitsu has every right to void your warrenty...well depending on what broke. If your engine is broke they will claim you adjusted your boost to high or something along those lines

Hey lookslikeanevo...
Why would you say that misu cant deny warranty based on a disconnected boost control solenoid? I think its totally reasonable to deny a warranty on a car that perhaps has been overboosting the entire time! The guy bought the car used and if the previous owner decided to keep his boost controller well than you can finish that thought. Seriously though if you bought the car that way than maybe you can put it back to stock (or near stock) and try to convince the dealer and mayeb get some partial coverage or something.
Good Luck

That is a picture of the factory boost controller solonoid. Buy the service manual to fix the lines. After you are stock, take it to another dealer.
