Hey Guys!

So basically i'm one of those 17 year old kids that just got a new rally red mr and the fact is i feel really spoiled but at the same time i'm giddy. I just sold my first car which was a CRX and honestly i loved that car, it was my first car and it wasn't particularly great at anything but i'm really sad to say bye to it. In any event we went in to get the EVO today and even though my family's pretty well off my parents are usually stingy so i'm really amazed they got me this. So i'm sorry if you think i'm just a bratty kid because i probably am but i'm gonna do my best and be responsible and not get any tickets or really break the law because kids have a reputation for f-ing up and the such.

Anyways what turbo timers do you guys use and how much would it cost to paint my car a less conspicous color because i dont' really want the attention. any input would be greatly appreciated.

and to answer your question, maybe look into hks turbo timers?
as for changing your car color.. just keep it red man, that car deserves attention or you could sand it down to primer color

 

you can paint the car the most boring color in the world.. with that wing and vg, you gonna get attention son..

and the hardest thing is i have to wait until monday to pick it up so the dealshpi can do the post delivery inspection or some such, which i guess is a good thing, but they did give me the owners manual to drool over as well as one of the keys (i dont' know why)

I like the color but my old crx was white and had a mild body kit and i was hassled to no end by the police, i've gotten pulled over about 14 times in two years many times for doing nothing (but a few of those times i deserved it)

Congrats man, Im 16 and I have an 05 EB Evo. YES GUYS IM RESPONSIBLE!! Its been 3 months and no tickets, plus I leave racing to the track.

in all seriousness though, if you have a chance to take some real driving classes or have someone show (maybe even just tell) you the ins and outs of driving an evo, do it. i'm all for you having fun, but the last thing we need to hear about is another young evo driver wrapping their car around a tree. good luck man, and enjoy that beast for me!

If it wasn't bad enough that you're a teenager who was given a 35k world-class, street-legal rally car, you already want to paint the color? Why didn't you just get the color you want, if you don't like red. The Rally Red MR is one of the hottest looking Evos ever made. The Red with dark grey highlights (rims/wing/shark fins) is quite a sight to behold. The last thing you should do is start messing with that beautiful paint.

 

A quality color change would be $5000+
Just keep it red
