Wondering if any of u guys are having the same problem , i noticed while racing several cars from a rolling start Mostly 2nd gear+ , SRT4 , Mustangs, STI's, i know theire different cars different gear ratios but i just dont feel it pushing on 3rd as hard as 2nd and 4th ... Against similarly powered cars the car feels pulling really hard on 2nd gear then on 3rd gear i stop pulling feels like towing a boat once im in 4th gear i start pulling again power is back.., ive tried leaning out the car, higher boost, lower boost , tried getting the best timing out of it and nothing

Get yourself some cams and you will be happier. They shine in 3rd gear .

 

My car is acting up similar to yours. I believe it's a boost or vaccuum leak. What made you think it was the tranny? Will a tranny problem cause you to loose power?

 

Yes cams are definitely my next mod . Any major differences when dynoing 2nd gear vs 3rd gear?

 

Just a crazy thought, ive had way better results when racing 2nd gear + rather than 3rd gear + its kindda embarrasing , 4th gear feels way stronger than 3rd, on my 2nd gen 3 gear was the opposite, hopefully cams will spice things up a bit. And nope, no boost leaks ..

 

hmmm, my 3rd gear is my favvy.... I hate first and second... and fourth kicks *** only after ripping through 3rd...

Good point..... dynoflash was a bit rich so i had to lean it out about 9-12% with the safc .

 

Ditch the flash.
You'll have an easier time tuning the AFC with out it.
Try a full third gear pull from 2800 to 7000 RPMS and WOT.

 

I did it mostly for the extra timing, and the rev limit increase had to get an SAFC right away to make adjustments, thanks for the suggestions.
