I'm going up against a dealership on my second owner 03 Evo. I found out that it has a paper trail, the O.O. trashed the trany and it was denied under warranty. The jerk had to foot the bill, $2000. At least he put in a good clutch.

The dealer implied that other mods had been made (I never noticed any), and that aspects of the W were possibly violated. I'm chasing a boost leak, and part of it was a screw up done to the vacuum lines on my BOV. They fixed that much and the car runs better.

I'm still missing 4-5 psi boost, and can hear a distinct whistle under power that wasn't there before; the car is making more boost now. Are there any good FAQ's around regarding warrantees and what qualifies for non coverage?

I have another dealership that did work to the car that never breathed a word about any of this. They also do lesser work.
