the Koyo is a great option for these cars...drops right in, very nice welds, and holds more coolant than stock.

The ARC is a sweet piece....almost too nice to put on the car...I have pics of both so can post tomorrow. ARC is much more for those sekking the JDm theme....it won't really "do" anything better than the Koyo in my experience

we have a special on the Koyo ones right now John:

The Koyo is a fair amount thicker than stock...the ARC is the same as stock from what I measured. Since the Koyo is thicker, we chose to offer a package with the FAL fans, which should help on the clearance side of things

how the hell was it touching your hood? Either you have an aftermarket hood or didnt install right. The aftermarket radiator covers even still fit perfect. I have installed 4 of the koyos and 1 arc in evos. They both fit perfectly and neither one stands even 1/4 inch taller than stock. They are both thicker but both PERFECT fit. The koyo is by far a nicer looking unit. And also It is tough, not sure what the other guy was talking about the top but on everyone you have to push like hell on it to get the fan back in and ive never had problems with it. I would recommend the koyo for the money. The arc construction is really no different and is smaller than the koyo so I guess the extra money comes in the spraypainted arc which you will never see unless you take out your ac. If anyone needs one installed in their car in the atlanta area I charge $50 plus coolant.

I have seen many Koyo radiators in EVOs with 0 fitment issue. However, mine was touching my hood. I would vote for stock radiator except if you go to the track racing all day. If time goes back I would have not done it. Stock radiator is big enough. BTW bling bling is nice

Id get the Koyo, Ive heard good thingds about it. Yes I know ARC is top notch but theres a barrier you pass when you charge $700+ for a strut bar.

My neighbor's carbonfiber cooling plate fits fine with the koyo radiator, I'll ask him for a pic.

Wow...old thread....posted in this 2 years ago

I ended up buying the Koyo.....Nice unit...excellent actually...but due to it's thickness the 35R I had sat wayyy to close to it and in extreme traffic the temp would go up slightly..

On this next build I'm doing I'm goin with the CBRD radiator...slimmer with enough space........to prevent heat soak..

let me know if I can help.

we actually had a batch of rads with the mounting peg's welded off a little bit, so we repaired them (cut and rewelded)... we are selling these at a reduced price, but theyve never been used in a car.

cheers

The stock radiator actually cools better than the Koyo. Take some IR measurements after doing laps on your engine, radiator, upper and lower hoses and see for yourself.

I have a Koyo but only because it's reasonably priced and durable. Otherwise I'd keep the stock one. The koyo also has a larger capacity which buys you some time with added thermal mass but that's not speaking for it's thermal transfer properties.

His sentence make sense to me, I can't believe the moderator here can't tell the difference between singular and plural.

if you can't understand Tsurara's sentence, then you need to study your grammar again.

I've had both the APR cooling plate on the car with the Koyo and I currently have the Ralliart one on now with no fitment problems.
