Which to BUY: 04 or 05 EVO???

Hey guys i'm new here, and am looking to get an EVO. I wanted to get some input on the 04 vs the 05 model as i'm not fully familiar with the car yet.

I found a leftover 04 with the sunroof and leather package.... dealer wants $30,899

can i get some info on what you guys think as far as fair prices and so on. THANX!!!

BTW: i test drove one, and no other car exists at the moment, not even my brother's C6 corvette (400 HP)...EVO is just SICK, can't explain it otherwise.

What it is ho, what's up? Can a [expletive deleted] just learn to search?

Just kidding. Welcome to the forums. Honestly, unless you really want SSL, then go for an 05 or wait for a IX. '05s have a front LSD, Active Center Differential, and 10.5cm^2 hotside (compared to the 9.8cm^2 hotside used on the VII) which is good for 10whp. The IX will have a larger compressor housing, new front bumper, slightly lighter wheels, revised 5-speed ratios, and MIVEC.

Yeah Id say wait for the 06 or get an 05. Make sure if you do find one at the dealer it has VERY LOW to no mileage. Word of Advice: Do not buy one with 400-1000 miles. The dealer douches beat the crap out of them.

I'm definitly heading in the 05 direction. I can't wait for the 06 and spending even more money is not on my list....

so what's a good price to pay for an 05 with the SSL package???? Freaking dealers are a pain on working on price.

Dont pay ANYTHING over MSRP, and since the 06s are coming, Id expect a discount, or near invoice. I paid less than MSRP in January, I happened to get a great deal in NY
