Pls help!! what is this wiring harness for?

About 2 weeks ago I found a dead 5" long rat in my engine bay, today i noticed that two of my wiring have been chewed off! The other day my AC just wouldnt turn cold. is this wiring the cause of it? I had FREON added about a year ago.
here are some pics.....hope someone would know what this wiring is for..

A/C
Best I can tell from the pic it is probably the A/C coil harness.
If it's chewed off too short you will have to get creative with a soldering iron or buy a new A/C compressor coil. The coil is what pulls the clutch in to run the compressor.

you think thats the cause of AC not getting cold? im thinking to add about an inch of wiring, its kinda hard to reach.... the AC still runs thou, just doesnt get cold. Can I just twist some wires at each end then wrap w/ electrical tape?

Did you end up losing horsepower once the rat died, or did you get a high-powered hamster to replace it and turn the wheel in your car?

^.^

That's what I'd try. If it works, got back, soldier and heatwrapt them

The compressor still turns on? If so it the wiring to the pressure switch.
Of course you can but it will not be very reliable.
