Hm, sounds like a good mod. Why not give it a try and let us know how it works out?

there would be some cutting involved... to fit a gauge... and also you might have clearance issues... as the gauges have a depth to them... but give it a try... it's been done on dsms and mr2s before.

Maybe use a stock needle like from the Gas gauge or something that would look nice.

I hope on the IX, there will be an in cluster option... the useless lancer pod has to go. If Mitsubishi doesn't put a spot for an OEM boost gauge on the X, an evaluation needs to take place. With the gauges now for the present non MR Evos being $400 plus installation, and only visual through a radio/gauge swap, Mitsubishi would be crazy not to put a gauge in the X, or an option for the IX.

But let us know (Lord251) if you decide to try it how it turns out, cause I know every Evo owner has thought about it atleast once.

imagine trying to read that at dusk? that guage would be too small to read, and the steering wheel would be in the way. What is the point of that "space" being there anyway?

It has lights in it, like 'Door Open,' 'Intercooler Spray On' and other stuff like that... If you could live w/o those lights then go for it.

A Defi guage would look nice in there. I think the depth will be a problem. It may bottom out.

Good luck! Keep us updated on your progress.
