Does the spare wheel fit over the front brakes on the U.S. EVO VIII? I've heard you have to use your rear wheel and put your spare on the rear due to the brakes? Is this true?

Personally they should just given us a full size spare like bimmers do. I'd pay an extra $300 for full size. That's will be pain in the *** if the front tires get a blowout. Usually from personal experience it's always the front tires

I think you have to move the spare to the rear. No room for a full size.

They have to use a fullsized spare for 4wd vehicles. There will be problems if you run a completely different size than normal(or a immensly bigger size than whats on the front two or on the back two).

I SERIOUSLY doubt it'll be a full-sized spare. 1/100 odds I'd say. Just get AAA and a cell phone then take all that heavy-*** stuff out.

The diameter of the spare is very close to the OEM tire on the car. It is just a 70 series looking temporary tire.

No, I dont think they are full size, just like the WRX, the wrx owner manual just ask you not to drive it too long using the spare, otherwise you will damage the LSD.

Some new bmws don't.. The e46 M3 has no spare at all - just a repair kit and a prayer.

On my S2000 you have to put a rear on the fron and then put the spare on the rear - no big deal - I have yet to ever have a flat on that car. (knock on wood)

The spare tire is a 17" space-saver: T125/70D17 specifically.

According to this page:
http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/3rdgen/how-to/rs_brakes.htm

it fits over 314mm rotors, so I don't think fitting over 320mm rotors is out of the question.

This is a good point I never thought of, being that the radio in the Evo is Japanese, will it pick up U.S. stations? And can you see the moon through the sun roof?
