Have you ever had a cop eat his own words?

So, my fiance and were driving to Grand Junction, CO, from Denver, in her EVO when we went zooming by a cop in a camaro. SO he gets on the highway follows us for like 3 seconds and then proceeds to pull us over. He walks up to the window, and says

"Well I pulled you over for a couple of reasons, one was that the guy next to you was speeding already and you were about to pass him. Also, you have a modified exhuast"

First, he never clocked us, and he already lost his case when he stated "the guy next you was already speeding". So that was strike one. Now strike two, was real funny, cause he stated we had a modified exhaust. Her car is stock, so we said what exhaust, Her car is completely stock sir. He replied "you mean that big can of an exhaust?" Again we stated that everything was stock. He shook his head and went back to his car.

We waited about three minutes before he returned. He did not look at us, or even bend down to look in the car, he handed us back all the insurance paperwork and he said "Thank you have a nice day" and walked off.

I know that had to hurt for him to say, when he found out he was wrong. Chalk one up for the stock EVO and it's huge can like exhaust

Man...had something like that happened to me a week ago. Silver Scion Tc with whatabes think'n their all big-and-bad in their stock car. Followed me, then flew by me on a long down hill road. Turned a corner at the end of the hill...cop turned down the same road behind. Speeded up right beside me to see how fast I was going...47 in a 45. He preceded to light me up. He gets out a said I was going "83" down that hill. I said, what!!!! You mean the Tc that flew by me!! Took my info and went back to the car. Ran my record...empty, blank, nothing, nada. SO ok... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and let me go. Just had to follow the faster looking car. Evo VIII spoiler w/ bodykit...must be fast. Anyway...enough ranting, clean records like help!!!

The last time I was pulled over the cop was a giant *** hole...he said i was wreckless driving and which i wasnt.....well i took it to court and got the ticket droped. I do agree they keep the streets a little bit safer....sometimes i wish they would leave cars like our alone. That was my 2nd ticket ever and so far the 2 cops have been ******.

Another DC evo club member got nabbed for not having the VA tag on the front bumper of his car, but when pulled over, he had printed out the law that states the tag only has to be "forward facing, and securely fastened and readable". The best the policeman could do was say "ok, well you might want to move it just so you don't get harassed".

I keep a printed copy of the law in my glove box now

yeah, the first time i ever got pulled over was the first time i ever drove with my liscence, go figure. i was driving my first gen dsm and there was a car stopped at a red light in front of me. i slowed down to stop behind him, so that i didn't run into him, naturally, as i was slowing the light turned green and this guy proceeded to continue with his life by driving forward, i let off the brakes and continued as well, not 3 seconds later, blinkers come on behind me and i pull over, he tells me that i ran a red light. well seeing as though it was my first time getting pulled over and i had just gotten my liscence, i wasn't going to call him out, all i said is that i didn't think i did, becuase it was green. he gets all my info and stays at his car for like 5 minutes. soon after, 2 more cop cars come in and block my car in, he stays in his car (he was a younger guy) and one of the other cops whos cars blocked me in came up to my car questioning me, he told me that my drivers liscence wasn't real and that i would have to let my friend who i was with drive since i wasn't legally qualified to drive. he then told me that since the sun was going down, i wasn't able to drive with a new liscence when it's dark outside when i explained to him that i had just passed my test and got all of my training hours done and that i in fact WAS qualified to drive, he questioned my ownership of the car. he asked me where i got the car i was driving, i was like "it's my car" hes like hmm. (mind you i live 1 block away from where i got pulled over) he ended up just walking away, the younger kid came back over and goes "alright, well, have a good night, watch out for them red lights" he couldn't have felt comfortable with that one. All of that for not even running a redlight.

I had a cop say the same thing. He tried to give me crap about my illegal exhaust so I told him I only had about 500 miles on the car and it was totally stock. He acted like he didnt believe me at first saying it was too big and too loud to be stock by comparing the sound to his ford crown vic. I was like " I dont know what to tell you other than its the stock exhaust and of course its going to be louder than yours, its a performance car." He went back his car and when he came back up to mine, he never said a word about it. Gotta love it when they are wrong while trying to give us a hard time.

Your kidding me right??? Goah thats gay. Like yesturday I was driving around. It was getting dark. I had my underbody neon lights on and a cop pulled out and drove behind me. He followed me for 10 seconds, and he turned. He didnt do a thing about the lights. I was so happy. But where I live (North Carolina) It's okay to have neon lights exept for: Blue and Red.

But really man you got pulled for yellow lights... Thats gay.

Yellow headlights. Yup. I have a Blue Underbody neon kit also and if they even see me have it on in a parking lot (not on the road) i get a ticket for it.

I suppose it depends on your local laws. In Louisiana, it is illegal to have any color headlights other than white.
