I have the Unorthodox Racing test pipe, and have been running it for about 8000 miles. Since day one, the CEL light has been on. I thought that maybe one of the connections was bad, causing the CEL. Tonight, I checked the wiring, and it was totally intact. So I decided to swap the two black wires. I know the blue and white wires are correct, but I was no longer sure about the black.

I wired it all up, connected the batt, and fired it up. It idled for about 15 mins, with me revving it every 5 or so. I was then satisfied to zip tie, and secure the wiring. Afterwards, I was going to test it out on the road, the car was not on for more than 5 seconds, and the CEL came back on.

The O2 sensor looked fine to me; although I am not an expert on that part.

Anyone have any bright ideas regarding the UR test pipe, and wiring? I can't figure out what else to do.

Have you tried the mechnical o2 fix?

 

No, but if I can get by without paying ~50 bucks for a 02 sim, that would be great.

 

It cost me $4 in parts at pepboys, and hasnt thrown a light on yet.

I agree w/ bigjhoney the mechnical o2 fix works, I never got the CEL light since day one. Give it a try...
