If that's the clip I think it is (can't watch MPEG at work, on UNIX box), then it was probably done in reverse. If you watch the whole scene you'll also notice nice inconsistencies like after the car was spinning around on it's side it shows up later in the scene with no damage and the wing mirror is still in place! Still a great scene though! There's also some Paris-Dakar rally stuff going on in the beginning of the movie with one of the Mitsu trucks.

AFIAK, Jackie had a sponsorship deal with mitsu in his movies. If you watch his HK movies you'll notice he's drives them a lot and the other cars in the scenes are usually mitsu also.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it was called 'It's Her Name'. The one with the Evo, right?

I just watched it this weekend and the actual title I believe is "Who's Your Daddy?"

Sad to hear that JC is a jerk over in HK. Surprising to hear that he disses HK like that especially since it took him so long to make any name for him self over here. I read his auto-biography and those guys are pretty impressive (kung-fu style stuntmen) as they typically go through a lot to please the audience. I also just watched a dvd of JC that was a short documentary about his stunts. Pretty good doc. For those that kind of like him but aren't to sure watch his kung-fu movie "Legend of Drunken Master" (I think, sequel to Drunken Master, so whatever it is called) it is a good martial arts film.

ahem...I remember JC's sponsorship from Mitsu start in the late 80's and his first was the Starion if I remember correctly. I didn't watch enough of his movies to say which is the first.

One of the earlier ones is the "Thunderbolt"...with the GTO, FTO and EVO III

sponsored the "Who am I" film. They also used the Paris-Dakar Pajero in it, with some awesome "hauling ***" scenes in the desert.

The night time chasing scene: FTO
Qualifying round: EVO III
Final Race: GTO...

They're not only sponsoring the film, but also Jackie Chan. In fact, it's his relationship with Mitsu that bring these cars into the film...
