ALSO DO NOT tell them about a down pymt, YET. haggle on the price until they say final offer. if it's too high (closer to msrp than invoice) WALK OUT! if the price is right AND THEY HAVE AGREED ON THE PRICE, at that point is when you tell them you have a DOWN PAYMENT. a buddy of mine bought his evo like this & he walked out of there financing $17k. it does work & they won't like it but it's your cash.
