What is Wideband Tunning

Okay well i'm the first to say I'm a complete noob to the Car world but I know i'm not dumb.. I've learned alot of phrases and ways that the car works but I have yet to see what exactly is wideband tunning.

I had some work done on my car and they offered me wideband tunning for I think 150$.. I agreed since I had already set out to do this, but I feel dumb to say.. what exactly is it.. and what did it do to my car. Just an FYI i had stage 2 from AMS done to my car and a new ACT clutch install.

Wideband tuning is when the tuner uses a wideband O2 sensor to tune your A/F ratios. This is more accurate than a narrowband which is what the stock O2 sensor is.
