try to sell your car privately and do a courtous sale at the dealership. if you don't know what that is, it's basically like trading it in at the dealership but u bring in the buyer of your current vehicle and there basically a notary without taking any money from you, and you'll even get a good deal with them if you play your cards right. Thats what i did with my 03 GTI when i traded it in on my 05 evo. good luck

i still owed 12000 on my GTI and when i took it in to the dealership it was only worth 8500$, i found a buyer for 13500, recieved positive equity and the dealership also gave me my new (4 miles) 05 red Evo GSR for $28500, all said and done with taxes and interest, about 30500 which was the sticker price. Good luck man, and calll you dealer.

haha.. i was in a similar situation. i had an '03 rsx, but i was leasing it. i had 2 years left on the lease with about 2,000 miles over than i should have been at the time, and the dealer ended up buying my car from acura and even giving me 1,000 credit from it towards my evo. took me a while to find a cool dealer to do something like that.. everywhere else i went wanted me to pay extra because they said they would lose money taking over my acura.

The same thing happend to me. With the negative equaity from my truck they wouldent give me the loan. So I said what the hell and I kept the truck and bought a new EVO. Now I'm not so sure that was the best idea. I wonder what kind of car I could be driving because I am now paying close to $800 a month. Not that it is killing me but I would love to put the money into the EVO instead of a FORD Ranger. The point is never take the test drive. It will make you do almost anything to get it.
