Any loss of handling due to having a sunroof?

I know that some people say that having a sun roof reduces the chassis rigidity due to a whole in the roof, but is this the case with EVO's? Any reduction in handling?

My sunroof hasn't kept me from passing quite a few full on race cars as well as some very serious street machinery on track days. I'm a 6' tall driver and the sunroof clears my helmet just fine.

sunroof open...your aero totally suffers...but like what ppl say, unless you're a serious racer, or you're going like 600 mph... it's very insignificant.

Nobody ever lost a race in an Evo and then cursed the sunroof. The positives of having it open on a day like today far outweigh getting from point A to point B .000whatever seconds slower.

His question wasn't "How significant is the reduction in handling?", his question was "is there a reduction in rigidity/handling?". The answer is simply "yes". If you want a different answer, ask a different question.

BTW, there is an interesting Mitsu design doc out on the web somewhere about the design and rationale of the aluminum roof, which is a heck of a lot less weight difference than adding a sunroof. Interesting reading.
