Part suggestions please

I'd like to get a BOV and a short shifter. I'm confused about what to get. I heard some BOV's can be troublesome and I definitely don't want any maintenance issues. I've heard some good things about the EVO MR JDM BOV and the Greddy Type S. Will the former vent air or does it recirculate the air? Will venting lead to maintenance issues?

Also, I think the popular choice for short shifters is the B&M and I'm inclined to pick one up. However, can someone please help me figure out what throw reduction percentage to get? Also, is there something about bushings and do they come with the short throw kits?

Thanks.

Go with the MR diverter valve. It holds more boost and you will notice a significant diffence than stock. Remember, sounding good isn't always a good thing. And venting to atmosphere will lead to stalling issues if you don't have some sort of engine management

I'm checking the net and am having trouble finding the JDM MR BOV. Anyone have a link to a site that has them in stock?

Any suggestions on the shifter?

There's lots of nicer BOV's out there than the JDM MR valve...

And if you really wanna save some money, go get yourself a 1g DSM BOV and crush it... it'll hold just as much, if not more, boost as the jdm mr valve.

I'm not a fan of crushing. Besides, I live in AZ and the best gas here is 91 oct, so I'm only running slightly over 20 psi anyways. This is only 1.5 psi over stock. Will the JDM MR valve make much of a difference in performance over that plasic stock POS? I do like the fact that's it's a direct bolt on.

the mr valve is only a more expensive version of the 1g valve... they're the exact same. so go to dejon tools and buy an overpriced one... or search and find a cheap as crap one. crush it for free and hold all the boost you can muster.

as for short shifter... i recently readjusted my b&m adjustable a little longer... so it would mate with my ralliart urethane knob better... the shifting is now effortless, precise and very "sure". this is after my tranny oil was replaced of course, second gear is no longer a hassle.

How do you get a 1g BOV to work on the stock IC hoses? The 1g BOV doen't have the protruding tube coming down from where the actual valve is. It has to be mated to a UICP, but not everyone has a UICP. Unless I'm missing something here...

Ok, that makes sense. A regular 1g doesn't have that, though, so I wanted to make sure we were differentiating between the two.
