Grounding kit for 05

Hi,
does 05 evos need extra grounding kits?
i've seen many 03s and 04s install them but never read any discussions about 05's.
are they the same installations as shown on the How To's forum?

while we're at it, will ECU flash / xflash etc caused the car to lose the immobilizer function?

thanks,

I have a grounding kit on my'05 MR. The only thing different from my perspective is the transmission. The bolts aren't in the same place for the 6 speed. I just picked what was closest to the wire and screwed it to that (clutch line bracket).

Yeah your car will run .0001 sec quicker in the 1/4 mile because your wallet is $80 lighter. JK actually have wondered the same thing. It wouldn't seem like it would do much.

i think grounding kits have some kinda karma effect on people that make them sleep better at night....

personally if i'm going to spend all that money on wire....i'd hook it up to my stereo

I felt that the idle was sligthly smoother and the power seemed a little smoother. No gain in horse power, but it seemed that the engine ran just a little bit smoother. Just my opinion.

i've read somewhere that the car actually does not have any issue running max aircond, max headlight (HID) and max stereo
