How will an evo act if it has not been broken in properly?

Considering it could have any number of things wrong with it, theres no telling. You might have some strange engine noises maybe. Then again it could be perfectly fine too. You never know until a problem comes up. There are many ways to check and see if everything is still in working order. Do a compression test. Checking the plugs are a good way for diagnosing a problem maybe. Check the oil. Check tran fluid.

What else are you considering braking in properly?

Well I wanted a new evo but chances are that I will end up with a used one. But tell me if this sounds good. Should I test drive a new one first or should I just test drive it? I dont want to end up with a P.O.S.

it will burn oil i have an article in car and driver i believe where the tell you many symptoms. but i know burning oil (you can see it out the exhaust for newb) is one for sure.
