i think those EVO VIII auctions are pretty much a joke! you never know what they are telling you. i saw one the other day, a guy was auctioning off his $500 deposit, the bid was @ almost $800, last time i checked. thats a few bills that, that guy is pocketing! i say if any of yall wanna auction off your deposit DO IT! youll make a few hundred in the process!!! i say juss have patients! the price will come down.

Do you know what specific power output is?
Evo VIII: (271hp/2.0L) = 135hp/L
STi: (300hp/2.5L) = 120hp/L
135 > 120
Winner: Evo VIII
The S2000 makes 120hp/L and it's NA.

Some dealerships underestimate consumer intelligence. They think we are willing to pay anything for such a "hot-car" (at least for the smart auto buyer) I feel really bad for the people who are hocking up $5000-$10,000 over MSRP, those people are really going to be kicking themselves in the head after a 1-2 years when Evolutions will be selling for $500-$1000 over invoice.

Gotta love Mitsu.Yeah, but the problem is that the S2000 only has 150lb-ft of torque. Unless you have a turbo in your 2 liter, it's not likely you're going to get past 180lb-ft of torque. Where honda makes up for some of that is weight.
