HKS RS intake

It's time for a new air filter and I was curious if anyone ever cleans theirs. I was thinking about dropping it in some gasoline, like one would do with a dirt bike. Would it be easier and more efficient to just pay $25 for a new one? Twenty five bones for a filter is kinda high though, especially after dropping $320 for a new intake!

I was checking around on lancershop and it looks like they need to be changed every 5000 miles. I'm ordering now...
