Thumbs up Z1 Performance Automotive = AWESOME

So here's my story...

I got a set of 17X8 Work Emotions & Rays Lugs off of Adam@Z1 about a month ago.. Everything went very smooth.

Well a month later after having the tires re-balanced and taking them off a few times myself to do brake inspections... I lost the damn key to get the lock nut off!

This wouldn't have been a big deal but I have an appointment with Buschur tomorrow for a clutch install along with other goodies... and I doubt this could be done without taking the wheels off.

I contacted Adam to see if he could sell me just they key lock.. he said he couldn't which I understand. However he shipped me a key to borrow for a little bit so I didn't have to postpone my trip!

I know this isn't anything major but it just goes to show you what level of service you can expect from Z1. I highly recommend dealing with them.. you won't be disappointed.

Andy

I have ordered several things from Adam, including a set of wheels as well. He has always taken care of me, and his superior customer service is one reason I will continue to do business with him. Z1 is definately one of the best vendors out there!!!

Praise is the least that I could do.. he wouldn't even let me pay him for shipping me the wheel lock key.

Just ordered some Evo 7 tails from Adam today. Can't wait to get them. I'm glad all of you have had positive experiences with him and Z1, that makes me feel better about my purchase.

Well I got a problem. I guess all the keys are unique so this key he loaned me does not fight my ****ing lugs. So I'm really in a jam now.

I'm assuming the tires will have to come off in order to do a clutch install? or does anyone know?

Call up Buschur and find out.

I had a similar problem a little while back, i had an appointment the next day to get my windows tinted and my car was not able to move at all unless i swapped the wheels out. (long story why)

So i went to a couple of local performance/import shops and asked around, luckily one shop had a key in stock, cost me $20 but i was able to make my appointment

yes they do, the drive shafts need to be taken out. SO the wheels must come off. They might be ble to get the rim off by hammering a socket on the lock but it might mess up the rim. That sucks dude good luck

I'd call but they close at 4pm. My appointment is at 8am tomorrow morning so there is no hope of getting another key. Not to mention all the keys are unique! I really dont care what they have to do to get it off but I'd rather not ruin a set of 1200 rims.

At worst I could get all the other work done.. but the main reason I was going was for the clutch. I just wanna curl up and die I'm so mad lol.

Sears Bolt-out

Put this on an impact drill & the lug nut will come right off ... chances are buschur will have something comparable in their shop.

Yeah I just whipped my set out.. the largest one should do the job.. it fits on the nut but it would have to be pounded on enough to break the lug loose. I'm pretty confident that buschur can get them off but now I've got to try to get another set friday morning.
