WORKS downpipe

I know the WORKS is coated to keep temps down but is it really worth the extra money? Also, will the 3" WORKS do and HFC mate to the HKS Hi power Carbon Titanium without a problem? Would that be a good set up?

Where, for those of you who have or were looking, can you get WORKS stuff for "cheap?"Thanks.

That's the exact setup I'm considering, I think the Works would be worth it just for the coating, coating would cost you about $100 by itself and I think the benefits would be great. Also I hear it's a well made and great fitting piece.

The only problem I see with that whole setup is the HKS tapers down to 2.5 (or 2.75) where it meets the cat, therefore causing a restriction. Anyone have any first hand experience?

Works makes some very high quality stuff, but it aint cheap. Once in a while you can find their stuff used at a good price. My first and best mod was a Works AB exhaust I got used for $125!

Yea i figure it makes a difference but its a matter of value: is it worth the extra arm and leg for the advantage? Prolly not it seems since its almost like twice as much as other dp's.

Hey, Soon2BeEVO, how do you like the Helix turboback? I was just thinking of going with the HKS and then Helix 3" dp and HFC. How does it sound? Where is a good place to get them? Also, is yours V2, what exactly is the difference? Thanks if you can help me out with any of this info.

Works stuff fits perfectly. I have Works 3" DP, 3" Resonated TP, and a Megan Cat Back. Super High quality and the guys are really cool. Drop some cash and get the good stuff.

nutrulz, you get them straight from WORKS? How much you pay for the dp? Is it a full 3" piece? Thanks.

Well I had some issues with the exhaust, if you have a 2005, I dont reccoment the Helix DP because it does not fit very well... however on the 2003-2004s it fits just fine. I also had an issue with the cat-back but Helix is sending me a new one. Overall, I LOVE IT. Its by far the meanest sounding exhaust Ive heard and its VERY loud, louder than Buschur IMO. However, my friend Steve who also has the Helix exhaust says his is not as loud as mine... and he no cat either so I dunno?!? Overall, for the price, you cant beat it.

I am finding basically just the WORKS site to buy their products from which quotes around $650 with shipping and hadnling for the HFC and 3" DP. Is there anywhere else i can find them cheaper or are their prices pretty well regulated. Becuase this with the HKS Hi power catback with shipping out the door is gonna cost me about $1430. That might be too much to spend.

Thats A LOT. The HKS exhausts are just so expensive its almost ridiculous! You have to pay $600+ just to get a SS system! However, its nice stuff, cant knock HKS for that!

www.myevostore.com

The prices are listed same as the works website but you might be able to get a better quote if you call.
