we'll try to put pics up when the car gets taken apart. I should be able to get a few. I dont know exactly how the service team is with the warrenty but the only reason they didnt void it was because the car had 3,200 miles and is stock so they couldnt prove anything really. And were at Jeff D'Ambrosio Mitsubishi in downingtown pa

Was the oil light on since it had no oil?

No oil + No oil level warning light + 3200 miles = New Engine.

Also a little scary that they are covering the repairs as well.

turnss out the RS's guage package that one of the oil sensors for the guages was not installed correctly and it lost the oil that way. New engine is going in this week.

People are too quick to just to conclusions, calm down people!!! As I thought the owner did have a legit issue ... I say, about time backed up their product and workmanship ...

No kidding. Everyone on here *****es about Mitsubishi warranties and then some guy actually gets taken care of, and you ***** some more about that?

I agree it appears that the car was hammered, but c'mon give some praise for Mitsubishi stepping up and doing warranty work. Maybe they'll see some appreciation from their customers and do more of it. If all they here is whining and moaning about warranties and then more of the same when they actually cover something, what's the point? You're not making things any better by getting pissed about it.

My service writer told me on my first trip in for an oil change to put one on the car. I don't think that statement is true. But then again some of the dealerships out there can be real a$$ wipes.

Not "they", the dealership in question here, stood by its word.

Mitsu corporate could give a ****.

I don't agree. It comes back to Mitsubishi one way or another. You don't think Mitsu corporate isn't concerned about their public image? Especially now when they're on the ropes? Props for stepping up and taking care of a customer. Hopefully we'll see more of it.
