As far as I remember the evo 8 only had adjustment for the angle(wheel adjuster) and foward /back slide. I agree that more adjustments would be nice to be able to fine tune the seat to each persons body. It isnt the lack of power or ease of adjustments that I disliked as much as it is the lack of adjustments. I.E. the WRX has a ratchet pump, slide foward/back, and tilt and lumber adjustments.

However having recaros is good enough for me as long as the car doesn't end up being way slower then it should.

0-60

Best time to date 4.52 according to G-TECH.

Significant mods. Very hard on the drive train. Rear differential did not like it.

Where have you been? Obviously haven't heard about this dealer-installed option.

As it should be. If they are going to list a 0-60 time, I want the best 0-60 time they can get. If it means abusing the hell out of the tranny, I really don't care.

When I'm racing my AWD DSM against some V8 with cheater slicks, all that matters is me getting the best launch possible without breaking the car. If I baby my car, Mr. 305 cubic inch is going to tear my little 122 cubic inch a new a**hole.

I don't want to hear the numbers on a *****, I-just-got-my-car-and-it's-too-nice-to-abuse launch. I want the real, hardcore numbers. The numbers I'm going to need when the sh*t hits the fan.

If they need to do a 6000 RPM dump in order to get the best 0-60 times, and it doesn't break the car.... thats what I want to see.

I also really like the ratchet style adjustment on my friend's 337's Recaros, but as I said a knob is fine with me. It allows you to adjust to any angle and unless you are going to be putting the seat all the way up and all the way down every day or something crazy like that, you only have to adjust it once assuming you're the only one driving the car.
Well after sitting in one and adjusting the seat to see exactly why it's so bad I can say this. My Jetta has a knob adjustment. While not ideal it's not bad. I don't care about that. The suck part is that you have to wedge your hand between the door and the knob to turn it. Believe me it's a pain in the ***. My hand had troubles getting in to adjust it while I was seated and I don't have the biggest hands. I actually recommend moving the seat forward to adjust the back then slide the seat back afterwards. It's a pain but like everyone's said how many times do you really adjust your seat?
