Is there a purpose to the stock BCS or Boost Control Solenoid if you are running a MBC(manual boost controller)? Right now I have it capped off and I only have vaccuum lines running to the MBC and it has been working fine. Is there any reason why I can't just remove the BCS from the car completely?

In 1G/2G DSM's I removed this piece with no problems once I correctlty installed a MBC. I had no side affects after doing this.

You'll get a code if it isn't hooked up.

I can confirm this, you WILL get a code. I had one until I put it back on.

 

What was the code if you recall and could you feel any difference in the car?

 

I dunno what 1g/2g you have been working on but on my old 1g you had to replace the BCS with a resistor to simulate the solenoid otherwise you got a CEL.

 

No idea on the code, you could probably look it on on the forum. No difference in the car at all except for an annoying light
