boost question?

Just installed my new hallman evolution rx manual boost controller. Looks good, seems to work good. I have the boost right around 20-21 psi. It holds pretty strong as I pull towards redline, but tapers a little. Not like the stock taper, but still a little. Also, in stock form, no boost would be developed while revving the engine in neutral, now with the new controller it develops a little. Sounds pretty cool with the turbo sucking the air in, and the bov letting it go when you lift. Are both of these things normal?

I didn't see any specific question. You're describing what happens on all turbo cars as far as I can tell...

the main difference was the slight increase in boost and the fact that it holds better as you climb towards redline. As far as noticing a differnce, I really didn't drive it very far. It was really late ,and I took it for a short, really high speed drive. I want to do a little more normal around town driving to really check out the difference. I didn't pay much attention to anything except the boost gauge and the speedo.
