Hood vent
nothing that i can think of unless it rains. more water can get into your engine bay when your car is parked or you are at a stop light. other than that i can't think of any adverse effects. i could be wrong though.
you might have air going into the engine instead of coming out.
it may also create some turbulence inside the engine and just outside the vent, since the air that's coming out through the vents coming from the bottom of the car.
That vents there to release hot air, and also serve as a funnel air hole so the air that passes the bottom tray (which gives you downforce) to travel up through the engine, cools it, then exits.
But really, unless you're at the road track going 100 mph, it's not going to effect performance, just like the vortex generator.

I have mine out and live in the desert. As far as I am concerned it lets out more heat when I am at a light. When youre moving you gotta figure there will be air running across the hood and over the roof (to grandmothers house we go.....sorry) drawing the air out of the vent whether that louvre (did I spell that right) is there or not.
Guys with the C/F hoods. Do you have that panel under the vent?
