The BOV itself is not useless; just in the hands of this imbecile. Just go read the threads leading up to his decision to buy this BOV. He only cared about what would work on stock boost and make the coolest noise. He didn't buy it with any intention of improving the power or efficiency of his car...

I'm sure your tails look nice. I would like to replace mine, too, but it's hard to justify spending almost as much on those as I have on mods that gave me another 70whp. Evodave may be the way to go for me in this scenario...

Well then I might have poked fun too.

Oh yeah, that's true. Well, you have to get a 6spd and aluminum roof first, then tally up the costs...

please can someone give me any information thanks what do you think white evo
We set the WORKS/GFB up with our preferred settings before shipping them out. They should also be in the box. If not, let me know and I'll e-mail you a copy. Also, let's start with the basics. First, make sure you have it installed properly. When installed, it looks as if it is laying on its side. Some are confused and mount it with the piston pointing down. This is incorrect and may lead to surge/flutter.

i have it installed right its just that when i shift even below 3000RPM's like anywhere from 26000RPM's & up even if i'm on the throttly lightly i'll hear the bov very low so i thought it was to loose so i tightened it now i don't hear it till about 2800RPM's is this ok & i just left it and asked you guy should i leave it or not? i tightened it a lot maybe to much how can i tell if it is to tight??? i think it lets out the air quicker now?

& my RPM's shoot up sometimes when i shift??? is this normal? anymore info

I swear...

Man, I told you last time that the damn BOV is not even SUPPOSED TO PURGE at such low rpm. I asked you several times before, but you obviously didn't read it...DO YOU KNOW THE PURPOSE OF A BOV? The purpose is to PURGE THE EXCESS BOOST WHEN YOU CLOSE THE THROTTLE PLATE. When you are at 3k rpm, you have not built any boost, and the bov cannot purge, since there is nothing TO purge. That's why you are hearing nothing. In fact, if you shift gears at low boost, the valve won't open, which sends the boost pressure back to your turbo causing compressor surge. If you shift at high rpm and full boost, you will purge fully and hear that coveted sound you're looking for.

we all got this car b/c of our love of driving or the love of this car...

ok ill give the first helpful post- turn the top spring adjustment as loose as it can get (all the way towards -) then turn exactly 3 full turns (watch a letter on the top and count) in the plus directions to stiffen up the spring a little, then turn the vta or recirc adjustment all the way till you see the vent to atmosphere sections completely closed till u cannot turn it anymore, then if u want some sound turn it no more than 5 clicks the opposite directions (believe there is 18 clicks total) this will give you about 28% vta and 72% recirc- anymore than this and you will run into problems from the MAF, as harsh as the words are i bet you will get sick of this sound in a short time and end up running it full recirc of selling it! best of luck

I'd hit it. I'd have to be group leader, or fuuhrer, though.

Damn, you use some massive hyperbole. You have a point though, Warrtalon chided me when I didn't understand some job name.
