Angry RMR Blows!!!!

I just thought i would give my experience with rmr. I bought a carbon fiber plug cover of there's from vivid racing. My first impression when i opened the box was wow its a gorgous piece of work. After about 2-3 weeks of having it on i started to notice a slight cracking. Two weeks went by and the entire thing was cracked. So i wrote a email to rmr explaining what had happened and they told me that i might have tightened it to much and could get another one from the for $80. So i figured it was my fault so i went and bought a new one from lancershop for full price( because i thought it was my fault).

Round 2
So i put it on 3 weeks go by, sweet so it was my fault. But then the clear coat looks like it starts melting off. I mean its pealing away from the carbon fiber. after about a week it consumed just about the whole thing.

To sum it all up rmr has been sending me emails saying that it looks like my hood has been dropping on it or something. And that it is my fault and wont give me my money back or replace the product, they said the best they can do is sell one to me for $80. I have showed this to other people they all said the samething that it looks heat related, including my buddies at gruppe-s. Cal said he almost threw up his lunch. They are great guys and would buy from anywere else.

Hey, send me 80 bucks and I'll see if RMR can send you a new one.

Just kidding. Put on your old one and see if it has any "cracking." I bet it doesn't. Take up your problem with Lancer Shop and dispute the charges on your first purchase.

The first one i got is already cracked. as i said above. I have the stock cover on now. Thank you but i dont think this is lancer shops problem since they did not make the product.

Right, but it's their (LS) problem to take up with the vendor. It's Lancer Shop's problem to deal with RMR. You mention to Lancer Shop that the product they sold you is defective. They'll take it up with RMR.

What I was saying about the stocker is show RMR that your hood makes no contact with the stocker. Hence, it's a heat related issue. Hence, refund your money.

We tested our dry carbon spark plug and cam gear cover under 140+ degree of track temp at Buttonwillow. Everything looked ok after 20mins of hard drivings.

Thanks,
Tom
