First ProStreet sponsorhip winner - Evo! ;)

As several of you know prostreetonline.com has been having an online contest for prizes and even sponsorships. I am extremely proud, not to mention very, very excited, that I was their first winner of a sponsorship! I would like to thank John, Alex, and all the crew down at ProStreet, and I really looking forward to working with them to take my car even further!

The first thing they did for me was to install their new Street Grind cams for the Evo VIII (264/272). We took the car back to stock and threw it up on the dyno (dyno dynamics dyno) and put out a baseline of 207. With the addition of just the cams we saw that jump up to 225whp with significant gain across the curve and even more pull up top. With moderate tuning (base cam map Xflash) it jumped up to 245whp! This is with the stock downpipe & cat, and without aftermarket cam gears. The car really pulls like crazy now and the idle isn't lumpy at all. This has been one of the greatest mods I've done so far, and I couldn't be happier with them!

Here is the link to the sponsorship announcement: http://my.prostreetonline.com/forum/...p?TOPIC_ID=177

and here is a link to my page: http://my.prostreetonline.com/member/SJCoruja/

This is an awesome way to get exposure for your ride, so I encourage everyone to set up a page and who knows...just might be you next!

LOL yeah, I saw that "other" offer and was following it a bit. Nope, this didn't cost a thing to set up and really paid off!

I posted on your car profile thingy, I have a yellow evo on there too, I think you posted on mine as well. A big congrats for getting sponsorship, I was thinking of writing a letter in an attempt to get sponsorship, but I think I'll do this car myself out of my own pocket to make a name for myself, and then go with that and try to get some sponsors for my evo9 (which will be 2 years from now unfortunately).

My car should be done by July of Next year.

My goals for power are 400+ hp/tq on the stock turbo (although I'm going to be going with stand alone)

so wait, what mods did it have on it when it gained the 40 hp over stock? The tune and the cams?

Yep...the only thing we changed was the cams and the Xflash. When flashed back to stock ECU settings we got the 207, then 225 by adding the cams, and 245 by the baseline cam map with no custom tuning. Awesome gains for just 2 mods!!!
