im lookin at gettin a do-luck CF lip. just curious how strong its held up so far for current owners. if you cracked yours or severely messed up already, what happened? i dont plan to mess mine up when i get it, but if its real weak i might think twice before getting one. thanks!

I have a CF do-luck knock off, and once in awhile i scrape due to also having s-tech springs...and Ive hit it a few times pretty damn roughly! But the most that has happened, is that is scrathed the clear coat on it...no cracking. CF is one of the strongest composites...you will have alot better chances of the CF not cracking compared to Fiberglass.

I've got the Do-Luck, have smacked it rather hard against some parking stops, hit something really hard on the freeway (I was SURE I'd cracked it after that one), but nope. not even a scratch. well, there's a few minor scratches on the bottom but ya can't see em at all. Very ver y durable product. Get one, be careful w/it, and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

Yeah, I have the do-luck as well. I scrape from time to time, but it just scratches the underside. The only bad thing that has happened is that someone flung up a rock at it on the highway and took a nice little chunk out of the clearcoat. It's not too noticeable though, and I really expected to have more problems with the lip being about 3 inches off the ground.

I have a question about this lip as well. Recently I had to take off my lower lip due to some damage (the right side clips were destroyed) -- so instead of having my right side of my lower lip hanging down..I took it off.

Does this CF lip attach on top of the existing lower lip or does it replace it?

I got mine this week. I can tell you that its very thick and strong so dont worry. The fitment was 7 out of 10 to my standards (my standards are high).

I will post pics later.

Did you get a Do-Luck replica or the real thing?

i hv a varis lip on mine. holding it up agiants sun light u can see plenty lights coming thru thats how thin it is don't think it will hold up if contact wit any hard object. Fitting is 9-10 n uses all original mounting screws without a problem n also it does not block airflow to the undertray (less than 1" lower to the ori lip) but it surely gives it a lower stance.

Does this install over the existing lower lip or does it replace it?

It replaces it (the real Do-Luck does, anyway). It just screws right into the holes where the factory "lip" used to be. Perfect fitment! Great quality!!
