ACT = One of the best clutches on the market. All i use in my car. Used in 7 of my DSM's. I dont know where you rcvd your information but maybe you should do some research first.

Just replaced my stock clutch at 21K with the ACT, kept the stock flywheel. I am about 500 miles into it and the clutch is really starting to break in nicely. I love the clutch took some getting used to, but now that is breaking in I love it. Feel is a little different than stock, but definitely has better clamping power. Haven't been to the track yet, but I could easily say that my 60ft and 1/8th time will improve. I know 2 people that have well over 10,000 on the clutch too, so wouldn't believe that.

You kept the original, stock flywheel? How did they resurface it? The mechanic told me that it couldn't be resurfaced, because it's not a 2-step and that there are no prescribed resurfacing measurements given by Mitsu. He was willing to do it if I really wanted him to, but he recommended against it highly, since it was not meant to be resurfaced. It didn't help that my flywheel was a mirror and had hot spots of varying, unmeasurable depth. I did stick with a stock flywheel as the replacement, though, instead of going the lightened path.

Hopefully, my ACT will work out well, too.
