Authority Rear Bumper CF Shield???
How important is the CF Shield? Looking to buy the RS*R cat -back and was wondering if I should get the shield with it? Also if you have pics of yours please post. Thanks!

I bought an Autothority one for my car (I think), but I haven't installed it yet. I have a first run helix catback that I will be intalling shortly, and I don't want to melt my bumper. I'm thinking of putting a thin piece of insulation on the back of the shield because it doens't look like it would do much on its own.

I don't have the shield but I have clocked 25k on the car and I never noticed too much soot build up to justify NEEDING the shield. However, it does look nice and I will probably buy one in the future when I'm really bored.

Does anyone know how to attach it to the bumper? Mine came with three self-tapping screws that attach on the underside of the bumber, but it seems that there is nothing to hold the outside portion against the bumper so it doesn't flap around.
