Can the EVO one day achieve these amazing levels?
Can the EVO one day achieve these amazing levels?
Can the EVO one day possibly achieve these unprecedent amazing levels? How close is the EVO?
500WHP on stock turbo (No NOS)? Is it possible that one day an EVO will hit 500WHP on the stock turbo, especially with alcohol kits floating around? Can the stock turbo hit those levels with out going Kaboom?!?! I know the stock turbo wouldn't last very long at levels so high, but nobody is asking for it to stay at those levels for long, just hit 500WHP and turn the boost down.

Here are the dyno Sheets!
1) Dyno Sheet was in 3rd gear , holding 22-23psi to redline
2)Dyno Sheet was in 4th gear, Holding 24-26psi!

Can the EVO hit 11s with out NOS, Cams and a Flash? I believe this is very possible, especially for the 2005 models. The 2005s are strong, and are closer than you would expect to achieving this-

S-AFC, MBC, K&N Intake, Cat-Back Exhaust, and MR DV

S-AFC, HKS Drop In Intake, and Custom 3 Inch Turbo Back Exhaust
8 Second EVO VIII that can be street driven? Can the EVO achieve levels that would allow it to run to the grocery store and then run 8s at the drag strip?

The EVO and 4G63 are absolutely amazing, cars such as the USDM STi and SRT-4 are not even close in comparison. SRT-4s are still trying to run 10s and the STi can only dream of 400WHP on the stock turbo. I'm not sure if the EVO will ever hit these levels, but I know one thing, the EVO is one of the greatest performance vehicles ever created!!! To think that all of this potential comes from a 2 Liter/Turbo 4.

All good stuff, except that we disproved the 466whp thing, because the dyno is inflating the numbers when they run at a higher gear (4th instead of 3rd on a 5spd). That being said, the 432whp in 3rd gear is legit and is incredible, since it was w/o N2O or Alky. Yeah, it was on C16, but that's still quite an accomplishment...

Rez^, thats the ISP racing evo outta maryland. That thing is nasty, T76 turbo 11rpm shift point...wow. Oh btw, you need to put some music to this thread, like some enya or something, its moving. And the stock turbo has been running 11s without nos for a while now I believe, David buschur has been doing it CT9A should've done it by now, Ted B is capable with his beast. The evo has alot left in it and the '05s especially. I wish I could afford a new one.
