Hi, every one, i just got my Evo 8, and i want to have a turbo time for it, which brand of turbo timer is better which is around $100. Help me out man, thanks
there's no turbo timer that is better than the other in terms of just allowing the car to cool down, it'll just depend on preference. Every turbo timer differ from each other in terms of features which wouldn't be a necessity. Any major brands would do.
i got the apexi!!! its nice and small!!!

Other EVO owners like the more conservative, no stickers, no door pilar gauges and a good match with the stock illumination.
On my opinion the APEXI (pensil shape) is a heck of a turbo timer, it matches the red illumination of the center dash, it takes no spaces and it can be mounted virtually anywhere. It is a multifunction(Voltmeter, O2 reading,AFR and turbo timer).
I also recommend the Blitzz fat DC III, basicly is the same principle, it can be mounted anywhere and it displays a multiple variety of stuff, real cool .. the bad thing is that it illuminates in green.
they're all good, but in my opinion not really necessary. most people dont beat on their car and then need to shut them down immediately. my alarm has remote start and I can use that as a turbo timer for 60 seconds but i rarely use it.

Most of the car manufaturers recommend waiting about 30 sec before you shut off the engine.
If you have the money, I think if it a great upgrade however you can live without it as long as you are commited to safeguard your turbo otherwise you will destroy the turbo in the long run(bearings, cracks, oil lines clogged, etc, etc)

The technology that exists in today's cars makes a TT unnecessary. Unless you go WOT in the the parking space and lock up your brakes skidding to a halt, you won't need any cool down time. The time it takes you to pull into the parking lot/neighborhood/etc and park is more than ample for cool down. Besides, it is better to cruise at a slow speed to cool down than to let the car sit still and idle anyway.
