rob at extreme motor sport did the tuning, he made about 8 runs. he said the a/f should be around 12 so i took his word for it. maybe if it was lower, i would get more power but would it be that much. im expecting at least 20 more.

Yes. I know. I have one myself. It was only part of a solution.

i think if you tune your s-afc right, you should get the power you expect

any suggestions where to get it tuned right in the baltimore area. these guys specialize in mitsibushi and have a line of 8sec street cars, i figured they knew what they were doing.

Extreme knows what they are doing, but I'm surprised Rob only worried about tuning to a 12 AFR instead of worrying about the timing advance. You should go sign up at our local Evo club (dcevoclub.com), because a lot of us could probably help you.

We also have a Dyno Day at Extreme on the 23rd...it's only $50 per person.

There is no way that flash should be running at 12.0 / 1 a/f.. Something is amiss.

if you would like to drive up here I can go over your car to see what if anything I can find on the mechanical side - e.g. Boost leaks, etc and then i can offer you a complimentary custom tune on the dyno to adjust the tune as needed.\

Main point - dont drive the car at 12 / 1 on pump gas

BTW - what type of boost controll do you use ?

Assuming your Dyno Flash is for the HSK intake I would restore the safrc to zero settings immediately.

The Dyno Flash for HKS RS intake runs 11.5 / 1 a/f through the middle of the power band which is the leanest you can go on pump gas without knock

Any leaner and you pull timing and loose tq

Come on up and I will sort you out in about two hours at no charge to you

Okay I must be confused. WHy is 12:1 bad? I thought 12:1 was ideal even for 93 octane. Should you be richer on pump gas?
